Statement About COVID-19

A team of staff members have met and will continue to meet to address COVID-19.

We will continue to educate staff, volunteers, and our clients on best practices according to health officials.

All Wichita Falls Faith Mission sites have initiated an increase in protocols for cleaning and sanitization.

Because we are a public facility with large gatherings of people, CEO Steve Sparks said, “We will continually seek to find the right balance between serving our clients and putting them in harm’s way. Our staff have been trained and are prepared to work as hard as necessary to make our shelters a safe & healthy place for the homeless”.

Additionally, we are asking all our meal service and chapel volunteers to suspend their support until May 1st.

If our staff or volunteers are sick, we ask them to contact their Primary Care Physician. If our clients are sick, then they will visit the onsite clinic, and/or we will call the Wichita Falls – Wichita County Public Health District for further instruction.

We’re taking all precautionary measures, but we continue to serve the homeless. Our shelters will remain open for meals and emergency shelter.

Please continue to pray for our employees, volunteers, and for the individuals that we serve.
