Faith-Based Addiction Recovery Program

The New Beginnings program at Faith Mission & Faith Refuge is a comprehensive faith-based addiction recovery program designed to help remove any barriers to recovery, break the cycle of addiction, and equip participants for workforce reintegration. This is achieved through a three-level process that focuses on individual needs and the power of God.

  • Level I (Orientation)

  • Level II (Addiction Recovery)

  • Level III (Job Readiness)

  • Transitional Supportive House

New Beginnings for Men is offered at Faith Mission. For more questions about joining the program, contact the Men’s Program Director at Faith Mission at 940-723-5663.

New Beginnings for Women is offered at Faith Refuge. For more questions about joining the program, Contact the Women’s Program Director at Faith Refuge at 940-322-4673 (HOPE).

Level I (Orientation)

The New Beginnings program addresses new participants’ unique and immediate needs. This includes enrolling in indigent medical care, psychiatric treatment, dental and vision care, and obtaining necessities like clothing.

The program also offers in-house GED classes for those without a high school diploma. Essential documents, such as IDs and social security cards, are replaced, and assistance is provided for legal issues, including helping to resolve warrants and child support matters.

Level II (Addiction Recovery)

Focuses on breaking the cycle of addiction by transforming the mind and spirit.

This is achieved through learning to use the power of God, prayer, emphasizing the renewal of the mind, and using the Word of God as the core foundation for change, revival, and teaching.

Level III (Job Readiness)

Prepares students for employment after addiction recovery. Students participate in paid work tracks to relearn job skills, including the importance of punctuality, reliability, teamwork, safety, and rule-following.

They gain satisfaction from earning a paycheck and learn how to budget and tithe.

Men's Transitional Home

Transitional Supportive Housing

This program is for New Beginnings Program graduates and offers short-term shelter for independent living. Graduates live in a sober living environment, a supportive house with other program graduates, with a resident manager at a reduced rate for up to one year.

The purpose of living in this house is to save three months of living expenses, help eliminate obstacles to self-sufficiency, and secure permanent housing so that they can manage finances and develop relational skills.

What New Beginnings
Participants are Saying

“I just didn’t care anymore. I was numb. I didn’t cry. I drank so much I would forget the shame,” said a New Beginnings participant.

“A relationship with Christ is the most important thing I gained through the program. Without Him, you are nothing. I also learned that to eliminate the shame, you need to realize God’s forgotten it.”
