To empower men, build self-esteem, provide a temporary solution.

Many men have job skills and are capable of performing a variety of jobs. The opportunity to work builds self-esteem in the worker, provides a temporary solution for the employer, and can lead to permanent employment for the Faith Mission client.

A Day Labor area is located outside the mission at the intersection of 13th and Travis Streets.

Employers can drive by Faith Mission to hire a worker. The employer often needs to furnish transportation. Working together with the community, we can rescue, rehabilitate, and reintegrate homeless persons!

The Day Labor area is located outside the Faith Mission Shelter at the intersection of 13th and Travis Streets.

Transitional Supportive Housing was added to Wichita Falls Faith Mission in Fall 2018. With case management support, the qualifying program graduate will reside in a sober-living, supportive house, with other program graduates and a resident manager at a reduced rate for a predetermined length of time.

The goals for the participants of the program are as follows;

  • To save three months of living expenses.
  • To reduce and eliminate obstacles to self-sufficiency such as employment, transportation, fines and fees, etc.
  • To secure their own permanent housing with their name on the lease.
  • To transition from shelter living to independent living, i.e. running a household, handling finances, keeping appointments, buying groceries, maintaining property, healthy living, etc.
  • To learn discipline and grow in their relational skills while sharing in the governance of the house.

” The Career Academy gave me confidence for the interviewing process and increased my knowledge and skills for the current job market. I now work as a manager for a local retailer!  “
