Day Labor Service
Many men have job skills and are capable of performing a variety of jobs. The opportunity to work builds self-esteem in the worker, provides a temporary solution for the employer, and can lead to permanent employment for the Faith Mission client. A Day Labor area is located outside the mission at the intersection of 13th and Travis Streets. Employers can drive by Faith Mission to hire a worker. The employer often needs to furnish transportation. Working together with the community, we can rescue, rehabilitate, and reintegrate homeless persons!
New Beginnings Addiction Recovery Program for men and women
Addictions kill and destroy the body, mind, and soul, and disrupt families. Faith Mission and Faith Refuge offer a faith-based Christ-centered residential recovery program entitled “New Beginnings”. The course is designed for persons struggling with addiction who desire to overcome destructive behaviors in a faith-based atmosphere. The first 30 days of the program restrict the student to campus. The following seven months are filled with work therapy, ministering to the homeless at the shelter, daily Bible study and a 12-step recovery program. During the final two months, students are encouraged to re-enter the workforce while remaining in the program to continue their studies. To enter the New Beginnings Program, please contact the Program Director.
