New Beginnings Drug & Alcohol Addiction Recovery Program for men is all about new beginnings, and the core of the program is starting life over with God.

The New Beginnings program is offered by Wichita Falls Faith Mission. The seven-month program is designed for men seeking victory over addictive behaviors. The goal of New Beginnings is to transform your mind and heart so you will not fall back into destructive patterns. Participants gain new hope as they discover God’s higher purpose for their lives. 

The program is free to all participants.  The program consists of bible studies, anger management teaching, addiction recovery classes, work therapy, counseling, and life coaching.  Topics discussed in the classes include understanding addiction, methods of recovery, codependency, taking care of oneself, family issues and patterns, healthy boundaries, accountability and structure.

What is the New Beginnings Recovery Program?

  • New Beginnings is a seven month residential recovery and work therapy program.
  • It is free of charge to all participants.
  • Participants live in dorm like, semi-private rooms.
  • Work-therapy is a major part of the program. A variety of job assignments teach the participants responsibility, teamwork, and new skills.
  • Responsibilities include food service, housekeeping, laundry, landscaping, maintenance, working at the resale store, as well as operations of the receiving dock.
  • All participants must submit to urine analysis (UA) and breathalyzer tests
  • There are occasional outings to “unwind.”
  • Participants may earn family visits and off-campus passes.

What are the admission requirements for New Beginnings?

  • Admission is based on availability of beds, desire of client, and staff review.
  • All applicants must apply for the program and go through a screening process.
  • Individuals applying must be willing to submit up to seven months of their lives to complete the program.

Upon completion of New Beginnings, participants receive employment assistance, housing assistance, and an opportunity to join Faith Enterprise, a residential work-readiness program.

New Beginnings Drug & Alcohol Addiction Recovery Program for women is all about new beginnings, and the core of the program is starting life over with God.  “I just didn’t care anymore.  I was numb.  I didn’t cry.  I drank so much I would forget the shame,” said a New Beginnings participant.  “A relationship with Christ is the most important thing I gained through the program.  Without Him you are nothing.  I also learned that to get rid of the shame you need to realize God’s forgotten it.”

The goal of New Beginnings is to transform your mind and heart so you will not fall back into destructive patterns. Participants gain new hope as they discover God’s higher purpose for their lives.

Upon completion of New Beginnings, participants receive employment and housing assistance.  Graduates of the program may be eligible to participate in the Faith Refuge Career Academy, a job-readiness program.  A residential option is available.
